PRODUCTION DATES. Information is very limited so the tables below lists what is currently known. Please note that this information has been gathered from various sources and owners who can be reasonably relied upon to provide known histories. Information is given in good faith and is the best available at present. It should be taken as a guide only. Read this page in conjunction with the page giving details of the model you are interested in as details may be spread between pages.

- Micro Technical Cameras -

Mk I

First cameras made late in 1948 or early 1949. Body Nos. start at 1001.

Mk II

Sold about 1949-1952. Body Nos. continue from Mk I.

MkIII

Made about 1950 - 1952 with Mk II. Body Nos. end at 2260.

Mk IV and Mk V

Do not exist. They were experimental models with focal plane shutters.

MkVI

Planned early 1951, probably sold from mid-1951 to about 1956. Several minor modifications of MkVI exist. Cameras made to Mk VII specification are Body Nos. 6000 - 7519.

S92

MoD / Royal Air Force / Defence version essentially of MkVI probably about 1956-1958. Identified by a broadheaded arrow. Numbers begin 14A/

MkVII

Sold about 1956-1962. Body Nos. 7700 - 11764. There were few variations in the body, but note the cameras were sold with or without rangefinder and a few were finished with red leatherette and bellows and grey paint.

MkVIII

MkVIII Sales were noted from about May 1963 until 1988. Body Nos. start at 12,000.

- Micro Press -

MicroPress with focal plane shutter. Sold from about 1951 for many years, well into the 1960s. Two versions were made:

(a) for plates and cut film only, probably at all periods.

(b) after about 1956, with 'International Back' option for rollfilm.

- Monorail -

Three Types (5 x 4, 7 x 5, 10 x 8)

Early and Late Versions.

(a) This was on display in 1965 with striped knobs to lock the standards to the rail.

(b) Most cameras use large black knobs from about 1967, and these cameras have modified detailed designs but the major components (Rail, Standards,Bellows) are fully interchangable.

- Twin Lens Reflex Cameras -

Microcord 1 with Epsilon shutter. On sale late 1951 or early 1952 until about 1954.

Microcord 11 with Prontor SVS shutter. Probably about 1955-1958. Later ones have shutter type marked on the front.

Microflex Limited production about 1959, remaindered mid-1960.
